At Issaquah Community Center, 11.3 laps around the second-floor track add up to a mile. The center also has a fitness room, court sports and classes. Heating and ventilation work is scheduled through the fall.

Fall hours and registration

The Community Center is at 301 Rainier Blvd. S. Its posted hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. It is closed on Sundays, with additional closures listed for November 11 and November 26–27.

The indoor track is reserved for walkers and joggers. Strollers, riding toys and balls are not allowed. For court time, the city’s facility guide lists basketball, pickleball and volleyball among the offerings. Each activity has its own schedule within the building’s hours.

For a class, use the Recreation Guide to reach the registration listing. That is where to check the session dates, fee, age group and remaining spaces. Pay attention to the venue, too: the guide includes programs at several city facilities.

If you’re new to city recreation programs, set up your account ahead of time. Staff review account requests within 24–72 hours, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Issaquah residents may also be asked to verify their address.

Heating upgrades this fall

In its September 11 notice, the city scheduled heating, cooling and ventilation work to begin September 14, with construction hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The project replaces aging gas furnaces with electric heat pumps and updates ventilation and controls. Portions of the gym and track may temporarily close while contractors work, and visitors may encounter noise, vibration and dust. Check with center staff before making a trip for a particular activity.

The city expects the new system to begin operating in late December, with overall completion anticipated by January 31, 2027, depending on equipment delivery. Gym and locker-room heating may be affected until the new system is running.
