The Saratoga Casino Hotel Foundation awarded $29,850 to 19 nonprofit organizations serving Saratoga County at the October 20 County Board of Supervisors meeting. The foundation announced the awards on November 2.
The recipients include Rebuilding Together Saratoga County, CAPTAIN Community Human Services, Franklin Community Center, Wellspring and the Saratoga County History Center. The announcement identifies all 19 organizations but does not report how much each received or designate a specific use for each grant.
A range of local organizations
The full list also includes the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Housing Development Fund, Camp Abilities Saratoga, Community Hospice Foundation, Junior Achievement of Northeastern New York, Mechanicville Area Community Services Center, MLK Saratoga, Mostly Modern Projects and Read to Recovery.
Other recipients are Saratoga Center for the Family, Saratoga County Children’s Committee, Saratoga Sponsor a Scholar, Saratoga Springs Arts District, Senior Citizens Center of Saratoga Springs and Therapeutic Horses of Saratoga. The foundation’s announcement gives the complete names.
The foundation says its annual grants support organizations working for residents’ quality of life, health and well-being, with priorities including youth, older adults, recreation, the arts and the broader community. It is jointly funded by Saratoga Casino Hotel and the Saratoga Harness Horsepersons’ Association.
Since its establishment in 2004, the foundation says it has awarded nearly $525,000 to more than 200 nonprofit organizations throughout Saratoga County. The 2026 figure is the combined amount for this year’s 19 recipients, not an amount for each organization.
